This is a more modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly aircraft model. With a capacity for 288 passengers, it will be used on long-haul routes, such as Montevideo or Buenos Aires. This aircraft comes with some improved features, such as a higher side at the foot level in the Business seat, or an ergonomically designed seat in Economy with more space. Additionally, connectivity has been improved by increasing download speeds, allowing customers to stay connected even at 30,000 feet.

With the addition of this aircraft to the company's fleet, scheduled for this month, Iberia becomes the first airline in the world to receive this version of the A330-200 (an A330-200 MTOW 242t, with a maximum takeoff capacity of 242 tons).
